OUR HISTORY
Coulston Brothers Racing or CBR started in 1993 and was the combination of talents shared between the two brothers John and David Coulston. CBR was established initially to furnish various race car parts for the strong local sprint car and drag racing market. Over the next 20 years, CBR continued to purchase equipment for the developing machine shop and invested in advanced technologies such as high end, high speed CNC machining centers, a Zeiss CMM, as well as many other ancillary pieces of equipment.
In the mid-1990s, two local business approached CBR in its early days to machine aluminum chassis for the electronics industry. The first was Techtrol Cyclonetics Inc. located in New Cumberland, PA and the other was Piezo Crystal Company located in Carlisle PA. These companies unknowingly steered CBR from primarily making racecar components into a manufacturer of complex electrical housings, filters, chassis, as well as many other electrical parts. In early 2013 John resigned from CBR Industries to pursue goals and interests of his own. Since his departure, David Coulston has successfully run CBR Industries by steadily increasing the number of employees, growing revenue, and most importantly increasing overall customer satisfaction. This could not have been achieved without the dedication and determination of our talented employees.
On January 1, 2017 CBR Industries officially became Machining America Inc.
